We hereby request your participation in this research project. The general objective of this project is to explore the cognitive-affective and perceptual aspects of body image among a community sample of women. Your participation in this research project consists in completing the following questionnaires on the web platform Lime Survey. The questionnaires proposed will explore different dimensions of your body image. It should take between 13 to 15 minutes to complete the online-based survey.

The confidentiality of the data collected in this research project will be ensured in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable in the province of Quebec and the regulations and policies of the Université du Québec en Outaouais*. Both the data collected, and the results of the research will in no way lead to your identification: the link you clicked to reach this page is completely anonymous, no normative information will be requested in the questionnaire and your IP address will not be tracked or recorded in our database.

The results will be published in a scientific paper and presented at conferences. They will be analyzed as a group and will not identify you. The Lime Survey server is hosted at the University of Quebec in Outaouais, thus reducing the risk of breach of confidentiality. Only members of the research team will have access to the data, which will be stored on the computers of the two principal investigators with an access code. The only people who will have access to them are the co-researchers and the principal investigator. They will be destroyed in five years using specialized data destruction software to erase all traces of them. The data will not be used for any purpose other than those described in this document.

Your participation in this research project is voluntary. You are entirely free to participate or not, to answer or not to answer the questions asked and to withdraw at any time without prejudice.
