The results of this survey are used to evaluate an ontology-based maximum power point tracking (MPPT) model. The proposed ontology, named MPPT-On, helps planning a photovoltaic (PV) system and offers access to the state-of-the-art technical information needed to deal with various factors associated with a PV system model. The following questionnaire includes three groups of questions: 1. Partial Shading Conditions (PSCs) containing nine questions, 2. PV System Modeling and Simulation including eight questions, and 3. MPPT Approaches with twelve questions.
